Service Description

If you feel limited by rope in your area– where perhaps the vocab has leveled out or the only beacons of ‘status’ are roll-ups and pirouettes– then I offer you this workshop. While those are worthy skills (I do them in my own practice too!!), there is so much more vocabulary available for achieving a creative, satisfying, and dynamic style. In this workshop I will teach my entrances and exits to dynamic movement, bizarre twists and semi-release skills. I will share the smash-hits of my research and personal vocabulary, a confusing climb here, a slithery skill sequence there. We will explore the realms of movement quality, evaluating the impact that *details* can have on our technical skills and performance. I believe rope has few rules, so expect fun, ease, and eagerness during our work together. Pre-requisites: This class is open to all levels, given you have competency and endurance in the air, trust your grip strength, and feel you are ready personally to explore dynamic skills.
