Lassos and Tail Manipulation, Yeehaw!!

Service Description

Have you ever gotten entranced by the way the tail loops and wiggles as an aerialist moves on a rope? When we're up there we often have our attention on the structural soundness of our wraps, our shelves, the post above us held taut with our weight - but there's a freedom and expressiveness in the way a tail moves. It invites us to see the rope more as a wily dance partner with a mind of its own or a snake we'd like to charm rather than a lifeless series of tension points. In this workshop we'll be exploring: - Trick roping on an aerial rope (Yes, the rodeo clown kind of trick roping). - Throwing loops onto an aerialist from the ground (great for duo acts or group choreo). - Lasso tricks in the air. - If time allows, throwing trick knots from the ground or in the air.
