Service Description

This workshop is a free workshop for the community. No prerequisites! This is a non-aerial offering open to every body and skill level. Have you ever wanted to ditch the athleisure and create a costume that can transport your audience and tell a story? Amy has been designing and assembling their own costumes for years and they'd love to share the fun with you. Part lecture, part group discussion, part hands-on exploration, we’ll explore character and motivation to help you develop a concept and consider the functionality and materials needed to showcase your artistry. Once you have an understanding of your costuming vision, we can talk timeline, budget, and troubleshooting problem areas. We'll discuss the age old questions: Trapeze boots or pants? Tights or bare legs? Hair up or down? Let’s learn how to solve costuming quandaries as well as how to thoughtfully integrate hairstyle, makeup and even props into your act. If you have an existing costume, bring it in for some extra embellishment, some feedback/advice, or just to share your creation.
